Congrats to our Alpena members and all who made the Carroll County Premium Sale!!! Come out Saturday August 15th at 10:00am at the Carroll County Fair to support these kids!! They have put in months and hours of hard work to get their animals ready!

Big thanks to the Carroll County Fair board and Jr fair board for all their hard work this week!!!

Our officers participated last night in the Lead Hill FFA Rodeo calf dressing competition. They had to put a T-shirt over the calf’s head and a pair of un**es on its rear. They pulled it off and had a blast doing it!!! Thanks Lead Hill FFA for the invite!!!

Gracie and Johnny made it to Camp Couchdale for Chapter Presidents Camp! I hope you guys have an amazing week and can’t wait to see what experiences and leadership yall will bring back to our chapter!!

Our Annual Buddy Bass Tournament is in full swing! This is the 36th year of the Tournament! Swing by Cricket Creek Marina to get signed up!! Tournament date is August 22nd!!

We caught up with another Ag Student of the month, Nella Forney. Nella was the Alpena FFA president for the 2025-2026 school year. She has been actively involved since the 9th grade. In the past years she served as vice president and as sentinel. She also competes in career development events with livestock judging being her favorite. Nella is also a part of Alpena FFA Show Team & her SAE project is swine. Throughout her showing she has won various showmanship’s, champion breeds, division winners, and overalls from the local to the state level. Showing has been a big part of Nella‘s life and the best part is the people and connections made along the way. She enjoys meeting people and telling them about FFA and letting them know that FFA is for everyone! You can show, compete in
leadership/career development events, public speaking, build connections and meet people from all over. Her advice to students thinking about joining FFA is DO IT! FFA is more than a student organization F’FA-amily.
