Looking to fill two positions for the u12 boys travel soccer teams. Please shoot us a PM immediately if interested. Registration closes Wednesday. Practices start 8/19.

As you may well be aware, we have had a referee shortage in our area and in Northern Michigan for several years. Your TBSA Board of Directors would strongly encourage individuals to consider training and certification to become a referee. We have significant need in our recreational program and our travel program. (Please note, you would not have to travel, that would be your choice if needed elsewhere in the state, especially for tournaments.)

A requirement for certification is an on-field session. We have been able to schedule this here in Alpena on Sunday, August 9, from 1-3pm! This is a great opportunity since the closest on-field sessions are usually in Petoskey.

Youth must be 13 years old to register, however, I've been told there is a possibility of attending the on-field session prior to turning 13 in preparation for finishing/registering after a 13th birthday if this will occur shortly after the on-field session. If you have someone interested who fits this, please reach out.

TRAVEL SOCCER TRY-OUTS POSTPONED TO WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17th AT 530PM

Good afternoon Travel Soccer Families,

After monitoring the incoming weather and radar outlook, we have decided that the best decision is to postpone tonight’s travel soccer try-outs.

Try-outs have been rescheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, June 17th at 5:30 PM.

Please plan to arrive ready to play with the following items:

⚽ Soccer ball

🥅 Shin guards

👟 Cleats

💧 Water bottle

The try-out process will remain the same:

We will start with full group announcements

Players will then meet with their assigned coach and move to their designated field.

Coaches will evaluate players as we work toward forming teams for the upcoming season.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we make the best decision for player safety and the quality of the try-out experience. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow evening!
