We are excited to announce that Bacon County School District will continue participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the upcoming school year! This means that all enrolled students can enjoy breakfast and lunch at no cost each school day.

Our School Nutrition team is looking forward to welcoming students back and serving delicious, nutritious meals that help fuel learning, growth, and success throughout the school year. We are committed to providing healthy, high-quality meals in a welcoming environment so every student is ready to learn and thrive.

We can't wait to see everyone back in our cafeterias. Here's to a wonderful school year filled with great food, happy faces, and endless opportunities to learn!

Our School Nutrition team is investing in professional growth this summer by attending the GSNA Leadership Conference!

Throughout the conference, our staff gained valuable knowledge, new ideas, and leadership skills that will help strengthen both our School Nutrition Program and our local Georgia School Nutrition Association (GSNA) activities.

We are excited to bring back what we've learned as we prepare for the upcoming school year. Our goal is to continue providing the very best service to our students while growing as leaders and supporting excellence in school nutrition.

We look forward to putting these ideas into action and making this school year our best yet!

Our team works tirelessly behind the scenes and on the front lines to ensure that every student is nourished, cared for, and ready to learn. From early mornings to busy lunch lines, your dedication, kindness, and commitment do not go unnoticed.

You truly are the superheroes of our schools—making a difference one meal at a time. Thank you for all that you do for our students, our schools, and our community. We appreciate you today and every day!

This past weekend, Bacon County School Nutrition had the honor of attending the GSNA Annual Conference, and we are excited to celebrate some incredible achievements!

🏆 Maria Noble earned 3rd place in the Breakfast category at the State Culinary Arts Competition.
🏆 Venola Miles earned 2nd place in the Peanut Butter Snack category at the State Culinary Arts Competition, an event proudly sponsored by the Georgia Peanut Commission.
🏆 Bacon County School Nutrition received the prestigious Gold Scroll Award.
🏆 Georgia School Nutrition Association District 8 also received the Gold Scroll Award.

We are especially proud to share that Mrs. Venola Miles was named District 8 Employee of the Year and was also honored as the 2026 Golden Leaf Employee of the Year for the entire state of Georgia!

We are incredibly proud of our team and all they have accomplished this year. The dedication and excellence shown by our staff continue to make Bacon County shine. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for our School Nutrition Department!
