Math + ELA in Action! 📚➕✖️

Our 5th graders are building skills across the curriculum! In math, students are learning how to solve problems using the order of operations. 🔢🧮

In ELA, students are strengthening their grammar skills by using coordinating conjunctions to build stronger sentences. They are also diving into a new novel, Walk Two Moons, while thinking closely about how the author uses language to help readers visualize the story and bring the text to life. 📖✨

From solving equations to making mental pictures while reading, our 5th graders are putting their thinking skills to work! ❤️🖤

Our RTI, EIP, ESOL, and Resource teachers recently came together to collaborate, analyze student needs, and strengthen our new approach to helping students fill gaps in reading. ❤️🖤

By working together, our team is creating targeted support that meets students where they are and helps every child grow into a confident, capable reader!

At BCES, we believe teamwork makes a difference—because when we work together, every student has the opportunity to grow, learn, and succeed! 📚❤️🖤
