Tatum Collective Our mobile collective is home of the Tiny Tatum Dancers, Sports Sprouts, Tiny Tumble Bunnies, Gymnastics Crew & our beloved musical theatre & music programs.

Proudly serving busy parents since 2005! Tatum Dance Collective is an on-site dance, acrobatics and musical theater company 17 years and 200 students strong. Our talented team brings dance to learning centers, preschools and private/public schools where the arts have been removed or don't exist at all. Parents love the convenience and affordability or our programs.

Ballet Term of the Week 🩰
Chassé - from French, meaning “chased.”

In ballet, chassé describes a traveling step where one foot “chases” the other across the floor.

Although it often looks simple, chassé is an essential building block for many combinations and jumps. From a biomechanics perspective, it develops smooth weight transfer, efficient propulsion, and coordination as the body moves from one leg to the other while maintaining balance.

A good chassé shouldn’t feel like two separate steps… it should feel like one continuous movement.
