Meet the talented TC team!

We’re in our 22nd season of moving with purpose, and these are the wonderful people bringing the fun, encouragement, and energy to our classes each week. We can’t wait for you to get to know them!

Did you know nearly all of TC dance classes include tap? Tap dance is a wonderful way for boys and girls to explore musicality and connect to their bodies. It’s also really GREAT for pre-math and listening comprehension!

We love taking pics of our tiny tapper’s toes! So cute!

Dance is more than movement—it’s brain work. 🧠

Research highlighted by the National Endowment for the Arts explores how dance engages memory, attention, spatial awareness, and social cognition.
Every class, rehearsal, and movement experience is an opportunity to think, connect, discover, and grow. Just one more reason to celebrate the power of dance education. ✨

An often mispronounced word! We use this term often in class because it’s so much fun!

Ballet Term of the Week 🩰
Chassé - from French, meaning “chased.”

In ballet, chassé describes a traveling step where one foot “chases” the other across the floor.

Although it often looks simple, chassé is an essential building block for many combinations and jumps. From a biomechanics perspective, it develops smooth weight transfer, efficient propulsion, and coordination as the body moves from one leg to the other while maintaining balance.

A good chassé shouldn’t feel like two separate steps… it should feel like one continuous movement.

Save this for class and [email protected] for more technique + science!
