We had a great day yesterday touring the county, meeting with local producers and connecting with community partners! These conversations are such an important part of Extension. We love learning whatโ€™s happening in our communities, hearing about needs, and finding ways we can continue to serve Wabaunsee County.

A special thank you to everyone who took time out of their day to visit with us and welcome Lindsay!

And donโ€™t forget, Lindsay will be holding **Wednesday office hours** in Wabaunsee County. Stop in, ask questions, talk agriculture, or just say hello!

๐ŸŒพ Stay tuned for other Extension Connection on Tour coffee chats, community visits, and programs!

Lindsay Shorter serves as the Agriculture Extension Agent for K-State Extension in Riley County, where she supports local producers with practical education, resources, and guidance. Beginning Wednesday, she will also serve producers in Wabaunsee County, strengthening collaboration and extension programming in both counties. Lindsay will continue her work in Manhattan throughout the week and will hold office hours each Wednesday at the Wabaunsee County Extension Office, offering home and site visits for Wabaunsee County producers.

Lindsay brings years of hands-on ranch management experience from working alongside her husband, Morgan. Together, theyโ€™ve managed ranches in the Southern Flint Hills of Kansas and Western Oklahoma with a strong focus on grazing management. Today, they call Riley County home, where they manage their own cow-calf operation.

With more than six years of experience in Kansas Extension, first in Greenwood County and now in Riley County, Lindsay remains committed to supporting agriculture and the producers who make it strong.
