Several members of the HS Jazz Band performed during lunch at the elementary today. They also rehearsed Dvorak's New World Symphony with the Gr 5 & 6 bands in preparation for Monday's Parade of Bands Concert. JayLynn, bass; Trinity, tenor sax; Paige, piano; Nevaeh, alto sax; Samuel, trombone; Weston & Miles, drums & aux; Cameron, baritone.

The Grade 6 Band Recital last night was extra special. Students prepared duets and trios along with solos and 4 major scales. I even remembered to take pictures!

4th grade took a trip to see the WCF Symphony today.

Today's Grace 6 Band trip to Spillville was full of history & fun. We stopped to stretch at the park in Lawler, toured the Bily Clock and Antonin Dvořák Museum, visited St. Wenceslaus Church where Dvořák played in 1893, and wrapped up with a picnic near the Dvořák monument in Riverside Park. The group received compliments on being polite and attentive.
