Providence Heights Alpha School is an independent, private, Catholic, coeducational school for students in PreK4 through eighth grade. Founded in 1926 and sponsored by the Sisters of Divine Providence, Alpha School is located on the sister's historic 40-acre campus located in Allison Park. The mission of Providence Heights Alpha School is to develop servant leaders and innovative thinkers by provi
ding a distinguished Catholic Education. At Alpha School, we strive to model Christian values rooted in trust, fostering compassion, leadership, and social justice in a community that welcomes children of all faiths and cultures. Although Providence Heights Alpha School is an independent, non-diocesan school, it does maintain a close relationship with the Diocese of Pittsburgh. Our students participate in Diocesan competitive sports such as, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and cross country. Additionally, our teachers are able to prepare our students for First Holy Communion which culminates with a very special mass in the sister's Mother of Divine Providence Chapel, as well as Confirmation which they receive at their home parish following graduation. On Fridays throughout the school year, we are fortunate to have several priests from the diocese share mass with students as we come together as a community of faith in the sister's Mother of Divine Providence chapel. Open to children of all faiths, Providence Heights Alpha School offers a wide range of programs and unique benefits to our students:
