The Alliance Campus was initially established as a nursing school in 1957. Though the campus was long ago integrated into the Western Nebraska Community College system, nursing remains a popular program in Alliance.

Recently the Alliance campus sent our alumni department some vintage nursing caps and bibles that were likely used around the 1960 or 1970's when students completed their nursing programs.

We are kicking off a year-long celebration recognizing a century of education, service, and community impact throughout the Nebraska Panhandle. “Reaching 100 years is a tremendous milestone, and it is a testament to the thousands of students, employees, alumni and community members who have contributed to the story of WNCC,” said WNCC President Greg Dart. “This celebration is about honoring our past, celebrating the present and building excitement for the future of our College and the communities we serve.”

Members of the Powerline class are learning how to keep your lights on and bellies full along with WNCC President Greg Dart, Alliance Campus Director Misty Curtis and their families, as they served the meal at Heritage Days Family Night.

This year we celebrate 100 years of serving the panhandle!
