***END UPDATE ***

I'm looking for whoever is planning the 40th, 35th, 25th, 20th, 15th & 10th Class Reunions (if those classes are having reunions during Heritage Days) to see if they are interested in joining the Class of 1988 for Saturday Dinner.

I'm in charge of our 30th, and I have a REALLY NICE DINNER and D.J./Karaoke Contest/Dance planned for Saturday night of Heritage Days at Newberry's... the menu is AMAZING, (of COURSE, it's Newberry's!!) the D.J. will be set up for BOTH regular D.J. duty AND Karaoke, so if we want to have a little Class Karaoke Competition, it's ON, but if there aren't any challengers or singers in the house, we can just dance the night away to the music of our collective Glory Days!!!

Honestly, I have an AMAZING, AWESOME WHOLE SATURDAY PLANNED, if your class is interested in going in with our class on the super fun giant inflatable "Olympics" and picnic that we have planned after the Heritage Days Parade on Central Park's Main Field!!! (FAMILIES welcome, kids play and eat free... cost is included in alum and alum's spouse or date's "ticket" for whole day package!! 😊)

Giant inflatable "events" include: Giant inflatable obstacle course Adrenaline Rush 3, Giant inflatable Twister, Inflatable Bouncy Boxing, Giant Party Pong, Bouncy Ball Races, Gunny Sack Races, Tricycle Races, Velcro Golf, "Long Distance Slide" Giant Slip-n-Slide, Co****le, Horseshoes and Badminton with photo props, an inflatable kiddie playground, bouncy house and of course park playground for the kids... and lunch for the whole family included!!!!
(I will add more kid things if I get a lot of interest, such as face painters, another kid based jumbo inflatable game, or other small carnival games... ALL FREE TO PLAY for the kids!! They are included in the adult tickets for the Saturday "day package"!!!)

If you are in charge of your class reunion and would like to know more information, (or you know who is in charge) please message me or tag them in the comments. I will be happy to share details to share either the whole day OR just the Dinner/Dance with your class!!! The best thing is, I've already planned it for you!!! 😉

This is going to be a Class Reunion to Remember!!!

The below recently appeared on the Panhandle Post website. Rod Romig with the Class of ‘62 encourages other classes at other reunions to consider leaving a legacy to Alliance that will endure. A little bit here, a little something there, and pretty soon you've got something you'll be pleased to be remembered by. Donations can be mailed to 1604 Sweetwater, Alliance, NE 69301.

The Class of ’62 is pleased to announce that the goal of having $100,000 in the Opportunities Grant fund has been reached. Donations of $10,000 each from the Barbara (Lawrence)Arnold/Henry Go family and the Rodney/Barbara Romig family were instrumental in the achievement of this goal.
“Our 60th class reunion was June 8th and 9th. Some thirty plus attended from all parts of the country. Since we’re aware of the reality that we’ll be fewer in five years, we thought it was important to create a sufficiently strong endowment such that an awareness of our lifelong affection for this community will continue longer than will we,” said Rod Romig and echoed by Barbara Arnold.
Over the past 14 years, nearly 40 students and recently, teachers, have been awarded grants ranging from $500 to $2000 to enhance their educational experience. The purpose of the grants is not to pay for tuition and college expenses but rather to fund supplemental educational experiences, such as attending a writers conference, studying in Greece, attending a band camp, traveling to Argentina to study cattle breeding, participating in a summer dance camp, studying at a university in England, etc.
“Our mission is not to fund anything specific but rather to fund opportunity,” Romig said.
