Former Nebraska women’s basketball player and assistant coach Amy Stephens was added to the Husker flag football staff as the director of operations, the team announced Tuesday.

Your Support Makes a Difference! 🐾

Your continued support helps the Foundation provide our schools with the resources that make a real difference for our students and staff!

We recently purchased new shelving for the art room, and Mrs. Brock couldn’t be more excited about her beautifully organized space! The new shelving will allow students to easily see the materials available to them while helping keep the art room orderly and functional.

We also purchased a food warmer for the newly renovated concession stand and you are going to be in awe when you see it!

No more waiting for hot dogs while the buns get cold! The new warmer will also allow for more food options when you’re spending your evenings cheering on our Bulldogs. 🐾

These may seem like small purchases, but they make a BIG difference in our schools. Thank you for helping the Foundation continue to support our students, teachers, and schools!

Because of you, we can say YES to the things that make our schools even better!

Here's a beautiful write-up about Jerry for anybody who would like to hear more about why he was picked for the 2026 AHS Wall of Fame. Jerry is pictured with APS Foundation board members Wendy Fritzler and Owen Burnett as well as long-time friend Dave Pearse. Dave submitted the application for nomination. Jerry will be celebrated at our annual fundraiser on October 24th. More information about this fundraiser will be shared at a later date.

Jerry Reynolds has demonstrated that success is not always measured by how high someone climbs, in a single achievement, how many titles they hold, or how much recognition they receive. Sometimes success is measured by how many people are better off because they knew you. Alliance would be a different place without Jerry Reynolds.

For his lifetime of achievement, entrepreneurship, service, mentorship, generosity, and lasting influence on the Alliance community, Jerry Reynolds is the 2026 Alliance Public Schools Foundation Wall of Fame inductee.

“I believe it speaks well of an Alliance High Graduate that Jerry understood the knowledge of books. Always searching for self-improvement. You know it didn't matter to Jerry whether you were rich or not, a president of a bank or CEO, or just a fellow who was down on his luck - Jerry wanted to get to know you and see you succeed. It is fitting and quite wonderful that you are recognizing Jerry Reynolds as a top tier graduate of Alliance High. Because Jerry is a top tier human being. Alliance is better because of him.”
