Yesterday one our patrons noticed all the Monarch butterflies on this Aster bush in the east parking lot of the library. We researched and found Asters are one of few local plants that flower late in the fall, and therefore attract Monarchs during their migration from Canada to Mexico. So. . . we need more Asters in our community so we can be a fuel source for them on their 3,000 mile journey! Amazing!🦋🦋🦋
