Michelle Lynn Fritz, 46, departed this life Wednesday, October 27th. She passed unexpectedly, but peacefully in her sleep in the company of her loving husband Joseph Fritz and children Tucker Fritz and Gracie Fritz of Westminster, CO. Friends and family are invited to attend Michelle's Celebration of Life service on Sunday, Nov 7th, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Knight Museum and Sandhills Center, 908 Yellowstone Avenue in Alliance. Light refreshments at the Knight Museum are to follow. Please come and share your memories of Michelle. Memorials may be sent in care of the Shriners Children's Hospital or the donors choice. Michelle was born in 1975 in Alliance, NE. She was the first born to her parents James and Twila Conley. Michelle was born with Spinabifida which is a condition that causes the spinal cord not to develop fully in the womb. This also caused paralysis of her legs. Michelle underwent many surgeries in her young life to help straighten the severe curvature of her spine. Her care was provided by Shriners Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. All of Shriners services were provided for free to Michelle's family and she received loving and attentive care during her many long stays at their hospital. Michelle's diagnosis and treatments never slowed her down though, and she grew into a highly capable, fiercely independent, incredibly beautiful, and intelligent woman. During high school she worked at Highland Park Nursing Home as a weekend receptionist and as a disc jockey at KCOW. Michelle graduated from Alliance High School in 1993. She went on to attend Chadron State College where she received her Bachelor's in accounting and business management. During college she worked as a secretary for a local church. Michelle worked and lived in Alliance for a few years after college as a legal assistant for attorney Leo Dobrovolny as well as in marketing at Box Butte General Hospital.
Michelle loved her hometown, but her heart was in the city, and she moved to Fort Collins in 2000 and later Denver. While in Denver, Michelle was introduced to the love of her life, Joseph Fritz. In 2007 they were married and had their son Tucker Fritz followed three years later by their daughter Gracie Fritz.
Michelle's favorite hobby was reading and had a book collection to rival any library. She liked living in Denver for the amenities, but she was especially drawn to the majestic mountain views. Michelle and her family enjoyed experiencing nature and taking trips to Gardens of the Gods and Colorado Springs. She visited Nebraska regularly to spend time with her family and let them love and spoil her children. She enjoyed date nights out with her husband to their favorite restaurant 3 Margaritas and loved watching the 4th of July pyrotechnic displays he helped put on for cities around Denver. Michelle was incredibly meticulous, which her very disorganized family gave her heck about constantly. She was habitually late but came by it naturally as a strong family trait. Her favorite thing in this world was being a mother to two beautiful children, whom she raised to be thoughtful, smart, responsible, sweet, and like their mother, just a little sassy.
She will be remembered and honored by her loving husband Joseph Fritz, son Tucker Fritz and daughter Gracie Fritz. Michelle will also be dearly missed by her parents Jim and Twila Conley, her brother Cody (Beretta) Conley, sister Kyren (Chris) Gibson, and her nephews Dylan and Jaxon Conley. Michelle was part of a large and loving extended family and will be missed dearly by her favorite aunt Bobbi (Tom) Mareina, her cousin Pamela Edoff and children, Steven (Michelle) Edoff and children, her aunt Bonnie (Byford) Avery, her cousin Tari Jo (Tucker) Pankowski and children, and Cousin Christine (Steve) Price and their children, as well as numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.

Best gift ever and still have. Anyone else still have?

Heritage Days will be Wednesday, July 19 through Saturday, July 22. Brochure will be out soon. Presale tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, July 11. PRESALE TICKETS ARE $25 and $30 at the ticket booth. Wristbands can be used Wednesday through Saturday. 8 Ride Punch cards will be available.

Crystal Smith has blocked some rooms for the reunion dates… The group block is set up at the Holiday Inn Express. To get the discounted rate, call the front desk at 308-761-0970 option #2. State that you are booking under the 1993 AHS Class Reunion. Our rate is $129.00 per room per night (regular rate for those dates is 189.00 to 199.00 per night). All reservations need to be made by June 21st. Rooms that are not reserved will be released for public booking.

Please share this with any and all AHS classmates of 1993… we are looking forward to a super simple/relaxed evening at the Sky View Golf Course for drinks and a charcuterie board. A float in the Heritage Days parade Saturday morning and then possibly an informal gathering downtown that evening.

I need to pay the deposit for the inflatable rentals in order to ensure that we get everything I have advertised. They only hold the reservation after the deposit is paid. I want to make sure I get a good ratio from each class if possible as I pay for all of this.

I'm very excited, and this "Alumni Reunion Event" idea of mine is growing even more now. The Class of '98 is also joining us. (So far... maybe more, who knows! )

Hi Dana. This is Natalie Miller. Molly gave me your number. She said you are planning your Class Reunion this year. I am doing our 30th, and I have a proposal for you.

I have a HUGE day planned for Saturday after the Heritage Days Parade. A family picnic/giant inflatable "Old Fart Olympics" Saturday afternoon, and REALLY NICE evening dinner/ D.J./Dance planned. I really want this to be a "reunion event", and I thought it would be really cool and would REALLY make it an EVENT if I include any AHS alum having reunions!!! You know, really make it a "school wide" event... especially since the Heritage Days theme is "Show Your School Spirit"!!

Anyway, I tried to include the details in this text, but it's too much and won't go through!! (it made it like 42 messages or something ridiculous like that!) But I have everything all planned, an AMAZING menu, vegan and vegetarian menu as well... I would love it if your class reunion joined ours and created an EPIC REUNION EVENT!!
Save my number, think about, but get back to me soon. (I need to start getting accurate counts early so I don't fall behind!) I should have the RSVP website up by Wednesday evening as well, so it will be easy to RSVP & purchase tickets.

Hello All! I’m really thinking we should do something for our 25th and since the heritage days theme is school spirit!! Saturday July 21st I think we should have a parade float and have Tim @ Shelmadine print shop make us some T-shirt’s! Maybe something simple like just a carry in BBQ for Saturday night if we can find somewhere close to downtown to have it?? Ideas please!! Should we schedule a meeting soon?

Hello all! I have turned in the RSVP's for the Saturday night dinner. Here is what's planned!

Friday night is open and we are invited to attend the Jaycee's beer garden.

Saturday morning parade meet around the armory on Black hills and 8th street. Our float is the large pontoon boat. We will need riders as well as people to pass out fans and candy!

Saturday afternoon 3-5 we have lined up tours of the new Performing Arts Center at the high school. Meet in the back by the new large sign.

Saturday dinner 5-9 at the Newberry's check in and social from 5-6 class picture at 6 salads served at 6:30 and dinner starts at 7. Please call me with any questions 308.760.1256. Thanks!
