It’s a pleasure working at Grandview Elementary. I’m proud of our leader and our staff as we work together to support each other to provide the best environment for our students.

I support and help the students in any area academically where they are needing help. What I like best are the students I get to work with every day in grades 3rd-5th. It's amazing to see how much they grow in their skills and knowledge! The most rewarding experience is to see their proud faces when they have achieved their goals and the relationship we develop as we work together. The challenges and goals of my students academically also become mine, they know they can count on me for support. Every achievement, coloring pictures, kind words, smiles, and positive attitude, from my students, is a priceless gift I get to enjoy every day! Every day is a new opportunity to accomplish success in 3rd-5th grade at Grandview Elementary.

Grandview New Staff spotlight!

Left to right Mr. Kraus 5th grade, Mackenzie Broderick 4th grade SPED, Celena Varga 4th grade, Rachel Snow 3rd grade, Kari Bargen 5th grade.

Mr. Kraus:

Throughout my life, I have always had an interest in education and teaching. I believe this stems from the many amazing instructors that I had while I was attending school. I wasn't the best student, the smartest student, or the most engaged student in school, but I always had teachers pushing me to become a better student in the classroom and a good person outside of school. I didn't really know what path to take after Graduation, so I tried several career paths over the years, but something kept tugging me back to my interest in teaching. I think it was the desire to start a career where I felt like I could make an impact on students like my teachers had done for me. I know its sounds like a cliche, but all teachers love and care about their students and want to make a positive difference in a child's life. My passion for being a teacher is not what I can bring to the students, but what the students bring to me every day. The smiles, the stories, the moments that they experience and can't wait to share, the mental and physical growth that occurs within the span of a quick year of school. My love of education is the joy and happiness of seeing students achieve goals, the smallest to the biggest doesn't matter as long as they are setting and reaching them. I would like to think that someday they will look back and see me as I saw the teachers that I had growing up and say that I helped them become a better person.

Mackenzie Broderick:

There are many reasons why I love education. The biggest reason is the students. I have loved getting to know my students and learning how they learn best. My students have already made so much progress from the first day of school and that is so much fun for me to be a part of. I enjoy finding what the kids enjoy and using their interests to help them in each subject. I also have really enjoyed getting to know all of my coworkers. Everyone is so kind and helpful.

Celena Varga:

What I love about education is that each day is different, I love watching kids grow and change, not only educationally but personally as well. I love being able to share the things I love and learn about the children's loves as well. I love to teach. Being able to help a child "get it" is very inspiring!

Rachel Snow:

What I love most about education are the students. You spend hours with them each day and you have the opportunity to watch them grow throughout the year, and I think that's amazing! Each student is unique and has their own talents/strengths and we want to help show them what they are each day.

Kari Bargen:

What I love about education is the kiddos and getting to know them. I enjoy listening to their ideas, and stories and learning what makes them tick. Learning their views on the world or something as simple as what makes the best pizza. I love being a daily part of their life and hopefully giving them a happy, safe place in my classroom to come to every day.

Please join us for Family Engagement Night!!
