The Lift Center

The Lift Center The L.I.F.T Center is a organization which develops adults with intellectual disabilities based on Gestalt, reinforcement, and other learning theories.

Based on our fundamental belief that differently-able individuals have aspirations similar to all of us, and the same basic human needs: security, support, and affection, we provide an environment that improves their daily functioning skills. Learning through activity is viewed as the cornerstone of human development. LIFT provides the opportunity to explore materials and interact in a variety of

experiences. Our activities are carefully planned and implemented in a personable setting. Participants engage in academic and recreational activities to develop their self-esteem, independence, and problem-solving skills. As everyone learns at different rates and have different interests, our one to one and small group activities are tailored to meet the individual needs of each participant.
