What is a rainbow?

A rainbow is a colorful arc that appears in the sky when sunlight shines through water droplets, usually during or after rain. The droplets bend, reflect, and separate the sunlight into different colors.

The traditional colors are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet — often remembered as ROYGBIV. 🌈

Symbolically, a rainbow is also often associated with hope, beauty, new beginnings, and a promise after a storm. In the Bible, the rainbow represents God’s covenant and promise to Noah after the flood (Genesis 9:13–16).

To see over 700 people come together to celebrate this incredible milestone truly meant the world to us. Twenty years of Brookside, twenty years of memories, and so many amazing children and families who have become part of our Brookside family.

Thank God the weather held out and blessed us with such a beautiful evening! 🙏

To every family—thank you for your continued support and, most importantly, for trusting Brookside with your children. There is no greater responsibility or privilege. I couldn’t feel more blessed to have each and every one of you as part of our lives and our story.

Thank you for making our 20th Anniversary celebration such a successful and unforgettable evening. Our hearts are so full. ❤️

We’re SO Excited for the Lehigh Valley Zoo!

We are SUPER excited to celebrate Brookside’s 20th Anniversary with everyone at the Lehigh Valley Zoo this Saturday from 5:00–8:00 PM! The Zoo is only opened to our families ❤️

We have around 700 people joining us!

🍔 Please come hungry! Dinner will be catered by Willow Street Pub, from 5:30–7:30pm and we’ll be serving:

For the adults & families:

● Hamburgers

● Chicken sandwiches

● Potato salad

● Pasta salad

● Coleslaw

● Desserts

For the kids:

● Chicken fingers

● Macaroni & cheese

💧 PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE BRING WATER BOTTLES!
We will not be serving drinks, so please make sure to bring a water bottle for yourself and each of your children.

🦁 When you arrive:
We’ll check your family in at the entrance, and then you’re free to head in and start exploring the zoo!

🎨 Craft Tables:
We will also have 3 craft tables open for families and children to enjoy throughout the event!

🐧 PRIVATE PENGUIN SHOW — 5:45–6:30 PM
Please meet us back at the penguin exhibit by 5:45 PM for our special private penguin show! You definitely don’t want to miss it!

After the show, we suggest finishing up your tour around the zoo and then coming back to enjoy dinner with everyone.

We cannot wait to celebrate 20 amazing years of Brookside with our families, staff, and friends. ❤️
