For 2 years, Ivy Pierson has been helping children learn, grow, and thrive at Lehigh Children’s Academy. Ivy’s passion for early childhood education shines through every day in the classroom.
One of Ivy’s favorite memories is Trunk or Treat, a celebration that brings joy, creativity, and community spirit to LCA each year.
We are grateful for Ivy’s dedication and the positive impact made on so many young learners!

As we continue celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week, we were so grateful for the opportunity to treat our incredible educators to a delicious salad bar lunch this week as a small token of our appreciation.
Our classrooms were also filled with smiles as teachers received items from their wish lists, thoughtfully gifted by the amazing families at LCA. These wish lists included age- and classroom-appropriate toys, games, and supplies that will be enjoyed by students and teachers alike.
Thank you to our wonderful families for your generosity and for helping us show our teachers just how valued they are. Your support truly makes LCA such a special community.

✨ Teacher Appreciation Week vibes! ✨ Today, our amazing teachers took a well‑deserved break at our Relaxation Station, a cozy, calm space complete with plush blankets, soft music, and the soothing glow of electric candlelight. 🕯️💙 And we’re just getting started! Tomorrow brings a fresh, delicious salad bar for lunch, plus a few extra surprises to show how thankful we are for all they do.

There’s no better way to kick off Teacher Appreciation Week than with a healthy breakfast! President & CEO Lisa Walkiewicz, along with her daughter Emma (a proud LCA alum!), treated our teachers and staff to a wonderful spread this morning. We are so grateful for our Lehigh Children's Academy team and love any opportunity to celebrate all they do.

It's Teacher Appreciation Week, and we are celebrating all week long at Lehigh Children's Academy, to thank our amazing staff for all of the important work they do to cultivate young minds.
To kick off the week, we unveiled a “Gratitude Tree,” filled with notes from parents and children sharing appreciation for the care, encouragement, and learning our teachers provide every day. It’s a beautiful snapshot of how deeply our teachers influence our school community.

Please join us in congratulating Sierra C. on her promotion to Full‑Time Lead Infant Teacher at LCA!
Sierra joined LCA in June 2021 as a part‑time staff member while attending college close to home. During her time at school in Virginia, she remained connected to LCA as a seasonal staff member for two years. After earning her bachelor’s degree in spring 2025, Sierra returned to LCA part-time and quickly demonstrated a strong interest - and a natural talent - for working in the infant room.
Sierra brings patience, compassion, and thoughtful care to both babies and their families, understanding just how challenging those early transitions can be. Her commitment to supporting families during the first year truly embodies our mission and values.
We’re thrilled to have Sierra with us full time and are excited to see the impact she’ll continue to make.

Please join us in celebrating Elisa L., a cherished member of the LCA community since July 2025. Elisa brings a genuine love for working with children and takes great pride in watching them grow - something both colleagues and families deeply appreciate. Her dedication to creating a positive, supportive classroom environment shines through in everything she does.

One of Elisa’s favorite memories is our summer water‑play day, a wonderful example of the joyful, engaging experiences she helps create for students. She especially enjoys center time, where she guides children through meaningful, choice‑driven learning that encourages curiosity and independence.

Outside the classroom, Elisa stays active with walks and time at the gym. We’re grateful for the energy, care, and heart she brings to LCA each day.

🌟 About Jennifer — LCA Staff Spotlight
Jennifer joined Lehigh Children’s Academy in June and has spent the past seven months helping children grow through curiosity and kindness. She loves teaching little ones that “kindness feels good” and helps them build positive relationships with each other.

What she enjoys most about LCA is seeing the world through many perspectives - children, families, and coworkers - and understanding what the Academy stands for behind the scenes. One of her favorite memories is staying after work to finish paper work and ending the night talking with coworkers who felt like true friends.

In the classroom, Jennifer gravitates toward art and science. She loves watching kids explore cause and effect, build creatively, and express themselves through color and imagination.

Outside of work, she enjoys anime, reading, writing, and time with her three‑year‑old daughter, Roze. As she says, “LCA has helped me find my light and voice… and given me gratitude for a job I thrive at.”

Meet Madison S., one of our wonderful teachers at Lehigh Children’s Academy! Madison has been part of the LCA family for a little over a year, and during that time she’s brought warmth, creativity, and positivity to every classroom she’s worked in. She spends most of her time between the infant and the school-age rooms - a combination she loves because it lets her experience the full range of childhood growth. Watching babies learn, develop, and eventually move on to older classrooms has been especially meaningful for her.
When we asked Madison what she loves most about teaching, she told us it’s seeing the children blossom while discovering their personalities, building new skills, and showing off their creativity. Craft time, coloring, and drawing are her favorite activities because they give every child a chance to shine in their own unique way.
Outside of work, Madison enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family.
