The Lehigh Valley Highmark CareerFORCE Centers are designed to serve high school students ages 16-21 in both the Allentown and Bethlehem Area School Districts. Dieruff, Liberty, and Freedom High School. Each center will promote increased career awareness and a menu of career readiness activities, personalized workforce connections, career pathways to continuing education, and a pipeline of work-ready young adults prepared to enter skills training and obtain employment.

17. The term “Life Sciences” combines two distinct sub-career clusters—Bio-Medical and Health Care. Together, these fields examine all aspects of the health and well-being of the population, either through the development and enhancement of medical research or through direct patient care. Careers in “Life Sciences” are among the biggest and fastest growing occupations in Pennsylvania with many points of entry from basic certifications during or just after high school to master’s and doctoral degree completion.
