Our ACCHS student pilgrims and faithful chaperones started their second day in Italy with the Votive Mass of Saint Peter at the Hungarian Chapel in the crypt of St. Peter's Basilica. After some time for prayer, buying religious goods, and lunch, they toured the Vatican museum and the Sistine Chapel. Their day ended with a walking tour of Imperial Rome. 💚💛🇮🇹

The audience cheered when an Allentown Central Catholic High School girl won a top honor at a major theater awards event, and she hurried to the microphone to make her acceptance speech. It was the Freddy Awards on May 21 at the State Theatre, Easton, and Briana Bauer, 16, was picked for her “Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role” in the school’s production of “Disney’s Frozen.” But before the Walnutport girl thanked her director, her voice coaches, her castmates, and her parents, she said this: “First off, thank you and all glory to Our Lord and Savior.” “By first thanking Jesus Christ, Briana showed that her success is grounded in faith, humility, and gratitude,” said Diane Young, Principal. “She truly exemplifies the qualities we seek to cultivate in every Allentown Central Catholic student.” READ MORE at https://www.ad-today.com/education/a-students-brief-but-powerful-witness-of-faith-on-a-public-stage
