Confidence grows when children are given the opportunity to try, explore and discover what they can do 💙

At , students build confidence through hands-on learning, meaningful responsibilities and opportunities to make choices independently.

Whether they are completing a classroom activity, working alongside classmates or exploring something new, each experience helps children develop trust in themselves and their abilities.

Montessori learning helps children discover not only what they can accomplish, but the confidence to keep growing.

A special evening for our students and families 💛

Last week, incoming students had the chance to meet their new teachers, explore their classrooms, and get a feel for the spaces where they’ll learn and grow this year.

A new school year can bring plenty of excitement, and a few nerves. Having the opportunity to meet familiar faces and see their new classroom ahead of time helps students feel comfortable, confident, and ready for what’s ahead.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone to for the start of a new school year!

A proud milestone for the entire community 💛

Grace Montessori School has earned accreditation from the American Montessori Society (AMS), joining a select group of only eight AMS-accredited schools across Pennsylvania and remaining the only accredited Montessori school in the Lehigh Valley.

This achievement reflects the dedication of our teachers, staff, and community who have worked together to uphold the highest standards of Montessori education. Through a rigorous multi-year process of self-study, classroom observations, peer review, and continuous reflection, GMS has strengthened its commitment to providing an exceptional learning environment for every child.

For families, AMS accreditation provides confidence that students are learning in a thoughtfully prepared Montessori environment that supports independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

We are grateful for everyone who helped make this achievement possible and excited for the future of Montessori education at GMS!

Students were excited to see the completed mural on the side of our building, bringing a new piece of art and creativity to the community.

Earlier this year, students had the opportunity to watch the mural process unfold as artists prepared the space through the Lehigh Valley Arts & Cultural Alliance's Mural Mentorship Program. Seeing the finished artwork come to life gave students a firsthand look at how creativity can transform a space and bring people together.

We are grateful to be part of a project that celebrates local artists, strengthens our community, and inspires our students to see the possibilities of creativity all around them.

A new school year brings new routines, new experiences, and new opportunities for growth 💛

As summer winds down, families can begin helping children transition back into a school schedule with small, consistent steps. Adjusting bedtime routines, creating morning rhythms, encouraging independence with daily tasks, and talking positively about the year ahead can help children feel confident and prepared.

A smooth transition starts with small steps, and we can’t wait to welcome students back for another year of learning and discovery at .

Building confident readers, one page at a time 📚

Independent reading is an important part of the Montessori classroom, giving students the opportunity to choose meaningful work, practice skills at their own pace, and develop a deeper connection with books.

Through independent reading, students strengthen concentration, build confidence, and discover the joy of exploring new ideas and stories on their own.

Celebrating the joy of getting lost in a good book 📚💛

For our students, reading is more than building literacy skills, it’s an opportunity to explore new ideas, discover new worlds, and follow their curiosity. From quiet moments of independent reading to sharing stories with classmates, books help inspire imagination, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

At , students are encouraged to explore books at their own pace and discover the stories that spark their curiosity.
