To us, it means more than just a good nap.

It means she feels safe.

She knows the faces waiting for her when she wakes up.

Playing IS Learning. 🤍

To us, it might look like cups, sticks, and a little imagination.

To them? It’s problem-solving. Creating. Balancing. Building. Trying again. Making choices. Developing fine motor skills. And discovering what happens when they try something new.

There doesn’t always need to be a worksheet or a “right answer” for learning to happen.

Sometimes the most meaningful learning happens when children are simply given the time, space, and freedom to PLAY.

Because at A Children’s Place Learning Center, play isn’t a break from learning.

There are things you say as a childcare teacher that would sound absolutely UNHINGED at any other job. 😂

“Please stop licking your friend.”
“Whose underwear are these?”
“Why is there cheese in your pocket?”
“Please take the dinosaur out of your pants.”

And somehow… no one in the room even questions it. 😂

Working in childcare means cleaning up things you never thought you’d touch, saying sentences you never thought you’d say, and solving problems you definitely weren’t trained for. All before lunch.

But behind all the chaos, questionable substances, missing shoes, mystery smells, and tiny humans making VERY interesting choices… is a whole lot of love. 💛

Because childcare teachers really do it all.

And tomorrow? We’ll come back and do it all over again. 😂💛

Childhood isn’t supposed to be rushed. 🤍

It’s supposed to be messy hands, belly laughs, big imaginations, little friendships, proud “I did it!” moments, and teachers who make every child feel loved and seen.

Because while we’re busy teaching them, they’re busy making the memories that will become their childhood.

And we think childhood looks pretty good here. ✨

✨ A teacher… and about 10 other jobs before lunch. 😂

Nurse. Chef. Referee. Detective. Scientist. Construction worker. Cleanup crew. And somehow, she still finds time to actually teach. ❤️

The truth is, early childhood educators wear more hats than most people will ever realize. They wipe tears, fix boo-boos, solve mysteries, settle disagreements, clean messes, serve snacks, repair broken things, give endless hugs, and create a place where little ones feel safe, loved and excited to learn.

Miss Stephanie may have a lot of “job titles,” but the most important will always be TEACHER. 🍎❤️

And we are so lucky she’s one of ours at A Children’s Place Learning Center. 🥰

Here’s to the teachers who do it ALL—usually with cold coffee waiting somewhere. ☕️😂

We do have the best parents and staff and of course our tiny little human friends! Some of our soon to be kindergartners have been with us since they were 6 weeks old. Going to be sad next week when we walk in and they don’t come running to give us hugs!

The last week with some of our little friends and then school starts, summer ends and so do out water fun days. Summer goes by way to fast!

We are starting to say goodbye to our pre-K besties who are about to start at the big kids school! Today one of our amazing families surprised us with a thank you lunch. We are surely going to miss Christian’s smile, laugh and energy he brings to our school. We wish Christian and all our pre-K friends a great year in Kindergarten!
