“POPPI” SUPERBOWL LX
for this shoot we were seeing 360° with 2 cameras so not only did we need to light every corner of the location, but we also had to maintain the smallest footprint possible. due to the limitations of the building we had to provide a freestanding structure which introduced a few different factors to workaround: a tiered floor with curved steps, pillars on the wall on only one side, and doors that only a specific scissor could fit through by completely dismantling the basket. additionally, we really needed to max out the height and length of the room in order to save space for techno & dolly, extras and SPFX gags not to mention a horse. this meant building (2) 19’ legs for the low side and (2) 16’6” legs for the high side which put us 3” below the ceiling overall. for this dimensional flexibility and necessary load capacity at the 51’6” length we needed, ModTruss was the obvious answer. Stage13riggingrentals hooked us up with the 12” aluminum. from there we mounted (3) auroris units across the width of the spans and installed a 30x40 pipe grid to give CLT Isaac Marziali the lighting versatility he needed. thanks again to DP bencarey for the awesome project as always!
