The Northern Highlands Regiment members have been practicing since August 14 to prepare for this year's Field Show. On Thursday at 5:00 p.m., they will be hosting a Friends & Family Preview Show at the stadium with a BBQ to follow. Please stop by to meet the 23 new members of the ensemble, in addition to our returning members! We hope to see you!

The 2023-2024 Annual School Calendar was revised and approved by the Board of Education on July 19, 2023. This revision was due to a conflict with AP Testing dates, which we received in June. As a result, we moved our RESERVED DAYS to:

Northern Highlands' Career & Academic Pathways Program offers year-round internship opportunities for seniors, among myriad other enrichment opportunities. This summer, Senior Intern, Natalie Gonzalez, was selected to intern at Congressman Gottheimer's office after going through a very competitive application process.
During this experience, Natalie learned about the importance of representation and communication between constituents and public servants. During her experience, she answered inquiries from citizens via phone or letters and responded to their questions and requests by either opening a casework file, thus notifying the Chief of Staff, or resolving an ongoing case with the administration. She also scheduled meetings with staff, arranged tours of the Capitol, and helped resolve personal matters.
This wonderful experience has solidified Natalie's interest in government and law, allowing her to craft her academic and career plans after graduating from NH. We thank Natalie's teachers who helped ignite her passion for this particular pathway!

While we still are on summer break, our Northern Highlands campus is busy with activities! Under the direction of Ms. Rehe, Band Director, and Ms. Kolodney and Mrs. Mather, Assistant Band Directors, the leadership team of the Northern Highlands Regiment welcomed our Summer Marching Band Camp members today! We look forward to a great school season!

Thank you to all who supported, attended, and celebrated a wonderful year for Northern Highlands Filmmakers at the 2023 Northern Highlands Advanced Film Festival last week! Up to 120 people attended, enjoyed popcorn, and viewed the lineup of wonderful films produced by Mr. Nadal and our NH students.
The event was broadcast live Red Carpet style by students of the NHTV Studios classes and after-school Broadcast Team. Enjoy!

This year Ms. Simone took over the Honors Global Citizenship & Service class and continued to encourage the amazing efforts of our students as they worked to change the world outside of NH. With the help of Mr. Witkowski and the support of so many generous donors (including many of you), the four groups this year surpassed the collective goal of fundraising $20,000 and have raised a total of over $22,000! H2Operations raised $6,211 for safe drinking water, Saving Smiles raised $4,571 for cleft palate surgeries, Cure for Kids raised $5,534 for medical care in a hospital in Zimbabwe, and Spread the Love raised $5,744 for the children of Eswatini. When asked about the fundraisers, Ms. Simone said “it was such a privilege to be able to facilitate this process that will end up changing the lives of so many people!” Great work by all involved!

We are on course and ready to race today at Crestwood Lake for our 8th Annual Highlands Honors Engineering Cardboard Boat Regatta! Our TVP production team has been up bright and early this morning getting everything set up for a great day at the lake! The event will be live-streamed starting around 9:30 am with the first race happening at 10 am. Final race should occur around 11:15 am!
