Big news at Broadway Grand Rapids! 🎭✨

Please join us in congratulating Benjamin Sanko, our inaugural Broadway Grand Rapids Fellow, beginning September 1!

Ben joined us as part of our most recent intern cohort, and his curiosity, creativity, professionalism and heart quickly made an impression. Now a senior at Grand Valley State University, we’re thrilled to continue investing in his growth as an emerging arts professional.

The Broadway Grand Rapids Fellowship is a new professional development opportunity for college seniors and recent graduates interested in arts administration and nonprofit leadership providing hands-on experience, mentorship and meaningful connections to the performing arts industry.

We’re proud to invest in the next generation of arts leaders and excited to have Ben lead the way!

This month we celebrate our founder, Dr. Mary Jane Dockeray’s 99th birthday. Mary Jane passed in 2020, but it’s fitting that she was born in March. As it’s Women’s History Month, we honor this ground-saving leader who preserved 264 acres of woodlands, wetlands, farmlands and wildlands so our 11 county service area could experience all that nature may offer.
