For Natelle, studying abroad with ISDSI meant getting hands-on with conservation research in Thailand and Laos. From elephant footprints to dung beetles, she explored the surprising ways elephants impact biodiversity. 🌏🔬

Students explored bilingualism, language, culture, and identity across the vibrant Spanish cities of Barcelona, Bilbao, and San Sebastián. Along the way, they learned from researchers, universities, local experts, museums, city officials, and the lived experience of the multilingual cities themselves. Of course, they also enjoyed plenty of incredible food, views, and travel adventures.

Emz studied abroad at School for Field Studies in Bocas Del Toro, Panama this summer doing research in a tropical ecosystem and sent us a postcard!

“ It was fascinating seeing the relationship of humans and ecosystems through the ecotourism and the agriculture industries in Panama. As a future field ecologist, exploring field research techniques in the mangroves, tropical forests, and coral reef ecosystems was a dream come true.”
