Announcing the cast of EDGES: A SONG CYCLE!

Written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul
Directed by Katherine Clemons
Music Direction by Andrew Lenhart
Choreographed by Edgar L. Page

February 12-21, 2027
Linn Maxwell Keller Black Box Theatre

What if watching someone else’s life unfold could change the course of your own? At the edges of love, friendship, ambition, and uncertainty, lives intersect in unexpected ways. One person watches, listens, and gathers pieces of the lives unfolding around them—until those stories begin to reveal something about their own. A poignant, exhilarating musical about the people we encounter, the lives we imagine, and the moment when watching from the sidelines becomes the beginning of a new journey.

EDGES is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.

An Important Update On Parking for Our Audience Members

This week, GVSU implemented a new policy that GVSU parking lots will be closed to anyone who is not a faculty, staff, student, or registered guest beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday through 3 a.m. Monday morning when regular parking permits are required.

We have worked with our partners on campus to reserve Lot H for all weekend MTD events, so that our patrons can continue to park for free and conveniently close to the Haas Center for Performing Arts.

Thank you for your continued support of the arts on campus - we look forward to seeing you at one of our events soon! 💙⚓

Tomorrow, in addition to it being opening night for A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, we are also welcoming our Distinguished Alumni-in-Residence for 2026, Hannah Gaff!

"Play, Connection, and Impact: The Garbage Monster"

Note for attendees: Please wear comfortable clothes suitable for movement if you'd like to participate!

Hannah is a 2008 Theatre alum, an international theatre creator, Assistant Professor of Theater at the University of La Verne, therapeutic clown, and founder of Theatre for Climate Justice. Tomorrow afternoon, she will be presenting an energetic session exploring the transformative power of performance. This interactive event leads participants through hands-on work in play, connection, and creation, followed by a documentary presentation and screening of The Garbage Monster. The session concludes with an open Q&A on applying theatre for social change, using your skills to create impact in the world, and life after GVSU.
