Good morning Allen! We did it!! Woohoo!! Attended the 14th Allen Eagle Run ❤️💙🦅, organized by the Foundation For Allen Schools. This year it was dedicated to Allen ISD SB Trustee, David Noll. David was known as a champion for students, a volunteer at heart and we walked this race in his honor. Loved seeing our enthusiastic Allen community, cheering on the mascot run, and of course sipping some Chick-fil-A coffee 🅰️🆙

On October 23, 2021, we had the honor of attending the Foundation For Allen Schools annual gala for a fun evening of food, games, entertainment, silent auction, and live auction. Blue Haven Luxury Cabin was one of ten live auction items that evening. We sat in awe of the kind and generous attendees who got into a bidding war and raised $4,000 for a weekend's stay at Blue! These monies go towards classroom grants for teachers and scholarships for Seniors at Allen High School. We are so very thankful for the opportunity to donate a weekend's stay at Blue and we will definitely be doing it again this fall! 💙

Foundation Scholarship Application Now Open:

The Community Scholarship Application, administered by the Foundation For Allen Schools, is now open at www.AISDfoundation.org and is available to all AHS Class of 2021 Seniors.

Students need only complete one application in order to be considered for one of these locally funded scholarships which range in award amounts from $500 to $5,000.

“Our scholarship donors are seeking to help a variety of AHS seniors – students who have overcome a hardship, seniors who have excelled in a particular area, seniors who are planning to attend a specific college or study in a particular field,” said Regina Taylor, Foundation Director. “Typically we have about 250 students apply and we award around 160 scholarships; those are great odds for winning a scholarship!”

Complete instructions, the application link and a list of current scholarship awards can be found on the website or contact the Foundation office at 972-727-0362. Deadline is Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020 at 4 p.m.

We want to highlight a grant that was awarded to the students and teachers of Allen ISD this year. "Math By The Book" will impact all kindergarten and first graders in the district. Many concepts in math are abstract and challenging for students to learn. These books will provide students with context and personal connections to new math concepts. Stories bring math to life! If you are an AISD employee and would like to apply for a grant for 2023-24, please visit AISDfoundation.org. The deadline to apply is Feb. 9, 2023.
