This is important info for your kiddos. If you can get them to log in over the next few weeks (follow directions in the below post), you’ll avoid potential confusion when school starts.

The Allen ISD Technology Department is launching a new portal for students and staff later this afternoon. The improved portal will offer enhanced security features, streamlined password management, and extended portal sessions for minimal disruption of class time.

Beginning at 1:00 p.m. today (July 14), students and staff who log into the portal will need to click on the "Claim" button and follow the on-screen prompts to gain access. 7th through 12th grade students will also be prompted to fill security questions. Younger students may need parental help to claim their accounts.

School Supplies - It’s the FAQ of the day! Lots of Ereckson parents have asked us…

Ereckson hasn’t published anything regarding school supplies yet. (The Admin team’s first day back to campus after their summer break was yesterday.)

• Here’s what we know:
School supplies traditionally vary by class & specific teacher, and teachers will often post their lists on their classroom doors at Husky Roundup (meet the teacher). This year it’s on Aug 4, 3-5pm for 8th graders & their parents, and 5-7pm for 7th graders & their parents. Students will also find out more the first day of school.

• Based on our experience as Ereckson parents:
You probably already have at home most of what would be needed as basic supplies — colored pencils, ruler, paper, scissors, glue stick, spirals, etc. No need to run out and buy new just yet; plan to reuse what you already have from previous years, and wait to find out any additional specifics.

We promise to let you know more as we learn more!

Here’s the latest scoop on Ereckson’s Campus Update!

“Ereckson Middle School has been approved for a full campus update with funds from the 2020 Bond Election. This is the first major campus update for a middle school incorporating new collaborative learning spaces, and it will mirror designs seen in the STEAM Center, the new Lowery Freshman Center, and updated elementary campuses.

This project is currently in the planning and design phase, with work expected to begin this Fall. The Allen ISD Operations Department worked with administrators and staff from all three middle schools during the design phase, as this renovation could help shape future redesigns at other middle schools. The renovation includes a redesigned entrance and reception area to promote safe access for visitors.

Due to the size of the campus, the campus update cannot be finished in the summer months. Renovation on Ereckson Middle School is scheduled to begin in October 2021 and the last phase is scheduled to be completed in July 2022.”

Summer is here, and that means many of our projects from the 2020 Bond Election are under way. The Board of Trustees and Allen ISD staff are helping oversee these projects, but we also wanted to ensure that our community members are kept in the loop as the projects progress. We have created a newsletter to provide you with an up-close look at the construction projects happening throughout the district – no hard hat needed.

You can view the newsletter now at https://www.smore.com/mt9yk

Parents of rising 9th graders… This message is from Mrs. Sara Paa of the Lowery Center:

Lowery Freshman Center is hosting an event (name TBD) to welcome out incoming freshman to our campus on Tuesday, August 10. This event is very similar to the "Back to School Bash" that AHS is planning. We will begin with a pep rally, hear from the principals, tour the school, and then adjourn to the LFC practice fields for some fun and games!

We are asking for donations of water since it will, most likely, be an incredibly warm morning/afternoon. Please help us provide our incoming students with water so that we can keep them hydrated and safe! I have included specific drop-off times on the Sign Up Genius so that you know when to drop off your donation. This is designed to make the drop-off process as easy as possible for you, and we will communicate the drop-off location as we get closer to August.

Thank you in advance! We are very excited to welcome our students back in August!
