A proud moment for our Council this weekend... as we received Texas PTA's 2026 Advocacy Impact Award, given to just one school and one Council PTA each year.
This recognition celebrates the power of advocacy in action - elevating voices, building community awareness, and championing the needs of students, families, and public education.
Some ways we do that - promoting candidate forums and videos, participating in Rally Day every two years, encouraging voting through our Books for Ballots promotion at our Used Book Fair and hosting our Council Leadership Academy.
This award belongs not only to our Council board, but every PTA member and community partner who shows up to help us make a difference.

Help us in congratulating our very own Rachel Mitchell in one of the biggest awards from Texas Congress of Parents and Teachers: Extended Service Award!

Rachel’s tirelessly works in Allen ISD PTA, serving as a field agent for Dallas ISD, and her mentorship in so many areas is inspirational. She not only worked endlessly to support to DISD, but completed the very difficult job of reestablishing Dallas ISD Council of PTAs!

Rachel’s presence and extensive knowledge is admirable to be around. We are truly grateful for her dedicated work to Dallas ISD, but also everything she has done and will continue to do in Allen ISD.

We love you Rachel!
