Ask a four-year-old here what they learned this month and you might hear about a song, a story, a flag, or a dance.
That’s what cultural learning looks like at this age. No facts to memorize — experiences to remember.
Hispanic Heritage Month runs through October 15, and the celebration continues in our classrooms long after.

Hispanic Heritage Month ends October 15. The culture behind it doesn’t. For the past month our students have explored traditions, music, stories, and language that connect them to the Spanish - speaking world and to each other. What they are learning is that culture isn’t a unit on a calendar. It’s something you carry with you. Nuestra herencia , nuestro futuro. Our heritage, our future. That connection is part of how we help children build bigger, brighter futures.

The weather was beautiful for our family picnic! There was much fun, the sound of laughter, the getting together of friends, and a paletero!
