I just wanted to give a huge thank you to each and every staff member at Cornerstone! I cannot begin to tell you how thankful my husband and I are for this school. Our daughter loves coming, she is happy at the end of every day, she loves her teachers and her classmates. I am so impressed by the love our family has received and how even on our daughters second day there, a teacher I had never met greeted her by her name. This is a MASSIVE step above her last school.

I can work and feel confident that she is well taken care of and learning each day. I no longer worry about how she is being treated by staff and her friends in class. Cornerstone truly has been a blessing for our family and I am thankful for everyone's hard work to create a culture within the school of always putting the kids first. I know COVID has made things so difficult for everyone but this school has taken a tremendous amount of stress off of our plates. I know she is safe, loved, learning and thriving here.

CSA is a diverse private daycare/school and they, along with the help of the parents, are proactive in creating caring, informed, educated, and well rounded little human beings.

I agree with the message wholeheartedly. But I think many times the color of our skin is used as a descriptive word, as opposed to a “label”. That being said, it doesn’t have to be the first, or only, description.

When I ask my son which teacher he had, saw, or played with today he gives me a name. There’re so many so I often have to be reminded who is who. I ask him what she looks like. He goes on to describe. There is only one African American teacher at his school. Sometimes “she’s brown...” is the first description. Sometimes it’s the third. Even though as soon as he says that, and I know who he’s talking about, I make him continue to describe the teacher. I want him to know that teacher, to remember her, as more than being “brown”. And he does. He knows “she’s not tall”, “she’s really nice”, “she smiles a lot”, “her lips are red”, and my favorite “she always wears a blue shirt”.

It’s the little things. The little differences that we can make. My kid’s off to a great start. ❤️

I have had the pleasure of serving students and their families as the certified Kindergarten teacher for the past three years at CSA, before retiring. It was a privilege to be part of the very positive and dedicated staff at Cornerstone School Allen.
Mr. and Mrs. Logan are very loving and supportive to each of the children, as well as the staff; and each child and parent is greeted by name as they enter the front door. Ms. Jones, the Director, and the front office staff were always available to meet my needs as a classroom teacher. The friendly staff and teachers at CSA make it a point to know each child well in order to provide the love and care that he/she requires, (not only educationally, but also socially and emotionally). The priority at CSA is to be conscientious and communicate well in order to meet the individual needs of each child in our building.
I highly recommend Cornerstone School Allen to any family who is seeking a loving, safe, and positive environment as a “home away from home” for their precious child.

Today is Elliott's last day in Ms. Chavez' class before he moves on to pre-k. He has loved being in her class and has this little message for her. ❤️

Would not send my kids or teach here. My girlfriend taught here. I honestly believe they do not know how to operate a business. Consistently had trouble making payroll. In addition, numerous errors on paychecks (always in cornerstone's favor). When she left to pursue other opportunities because of this, her wage on her final paycheck was dropped to minimum wage. There is a reason they have such high turnover. Ask questions, parents. There are much better preschool options in the Allen area.

This picture popped up in my Facebook feed and I couldn't believe it was 4 years ago! This was our first Mother's Day at Cornerstone!

I can't believe how small she was. We are so lucky to have found such an awesome school for her. She still looks forward to going there today, four years later!
