Happy Fiber Finish Friday!
This is where we show off all the incredible projects our Needles, Hooks, & Books fiber group has completed during the week.
Our speedy crocheter, Abir, put the finishing touches on not one, but two blankets this week. The recipients will be toasty warm this winter season.
New knitter, Rachel, finished her very first washcloth! Way to go!
Needles, Hooks, & Books is a crafting group for adults ages 18+ that meets every Thursday evening from 6-7:30 pm in the Library Meeting Room. If you're a fiber fanatic, or just starting out, drop by on a Thursday evening and check it out. The members are very friendly and always willing to offer assistance.
For questions, please call the Library at 313-381-2425.

We're excited to partner with the Allen Park Public Library for their Summer Reading Program! 📖
At Allen Park Martial Arts Center, we believe that strong minds build strong futures. That is why we are proud to support a program that encourages people to develop a lifelong love of reading and learning.
If you have not signed up for the Summer Reading Program yet, now is the perfect time! It is a fun way to stay engaged, discover new books, and keep learning all summer long. Best of all, the Summer Reading Program is open to everyone, not just Allen Park residents, and participants of all ages are welcome to join. Visit the Allen Park Public Library to register.
As part of this partnership, participants in the Summer Reading Program will have the opportunity to win a free martial arts class at Allen Park Martial Arts Center! Reading helps develop focus, discipline, confidence, and perseverance. These are the same qualities we work to build in every student who trains with us.
A big thank you to the Allen Park Public Library for all they do to support literacy, education, and our community.
Good luck to all of this summer's readers. We look forward to meeting some of you on the mat! 🥋
