Our second graders designed costumes for our bee-bots this week! Then they took their bee-bots "trick or treating" by coding them to pick up candy. Each group took turns doing different jobs. The driver programmed the bee-bot. The designer laid out the candy to create the challenge for the driver. Our kindergarten and first grade coders got to do the coding part of the activity during their classes.

Coach Ryan Sloth, children's book author, visited Central today! He shared his books he's written and movies he's been in. Students helped present his story, Hank the Bully. Coach Sloth inspired the students to dream big, just like he did in elementary school. Thanks for sharing your stories with us Coach Sloth! Hopefully some future authors were inspired today!

On Wednesday, we will be wearing orange in support of Unity Day. October is National Bullying Prevention Month and the fourth Wednesday is Unity Day. We wear orange to come together in one giant ORANGE message of hope and support.
