Today is Peace Day. Teaching kids about peace isn’t just talking about war and conflict. Peace is talking about fairness, justice, inner-peace, respect for the environment, and much more. Some fun Peace Day activities include:
- reading stories about peace;
- making peace flags to distribute;
- making peace windmills and "planting" them in a garden;
- making a peace chain at your school or community;
- making posters of quotes on peace and posting them around your house;
- singing "Light a Candle for Peace."
