On Friday, our students, families and staff spent the day soaking up the sunshine and enjoying time together during our annual trip to Wayland City Park! From lunch and playground fun to the splash pad, water activities and crafts prepared by our staff, there was no shortage of joy!

Days like these remind us just how special the Hillside community is. 🧡

A special thank you to the City of Wayland Fire Department for stopping by with their fire truck, adding an extra splash of fun to the day!

Our July Water Day gave students the chance to explore, play and enjoy time together in the sun! We know learning happens in all kinds of ways, including through creative, hands-on experiences outside of the classroom. At Hillside, we’re always finding ways to make learning memorable and fun!

Due to current air quality conditions, all students at Hillside Learning Center and Transition Center will remain indoors for the rest of the day.

We will continue to monitor air quality tomorrow, Friday, July 17. If conditions remain the same or worsen, students will stay indoors until it is safe to resume outdoor activities.

Madeleine brings more than a decade of experience in education and a strong passion for student growth, leadership, and building meaningful relationships.

Don’t miss out on free meals for your kids this summer!

Don’t miss out on free meals for your kids this summer! Each week, children 18 and younger can receive a box with 14 meals, including shelf stable milk, fresh fruits and vegetables, healthy proteins, and snacks. All items are tree nut and peanut free. No application needed. Children do not need to be present during pickup. Meals are available on a first come, first served basis.

Pickup takes place each Wednesday, June 10 through August 19, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Allegan Area ESA Tech Center parking lot.
