Allegan Area ESA We strive to ensure every learner, school, and community thrives. We also offer programs and services that benefit parents and all who live in Allegan County.

AAESA may be summed up quite simply, we are about helping students of Allegan County and improving the quality of life for all citizens in western Michigan's Allegan County. We offer many services and programs the local school districts sometimes cannot or should not duplicate. Rules for participation on the AAESA page:

Today we celebrated the kickoff to the 2026-2027 school year with all staff!

We had a great morning filled with energy, laughter and connection. We’re feeling encouraged heading into a new year after learning from award-winning educator, speaker and author Chase Mielke. He taught us about the science of purpose, perspective and perseverance and how bringing joy to our work can positively impact outcomes for students and one another.

We’re grateful for the people who make Allegan Area Educational Service Agency such a special place to work and learn. Here’s to a new year filled with endless possibilities and meaningful impact for the students and families we serve!

Free summer meals are still available every Wednesday through August 19!

Pickup: Each Wednesday through August 19

Time: 11 a.m. to noon

Location: Allegan Area ESA Tech Center Parking Lot
2891 116th Ave.
Allegan, MI 49010

Children 18 and younger can receive a free box of 14 meals each week, including shelf-stable milk, fresh fruits and vegetables, healthy proteins, and snacks. All items are peanut and tree nut free.

No application is needed, and children do not need to be present for pickup. Meals are available on a first come, first served basis.
