The volleyball team hosted Saugatuck last night in a crossover with the Valley Division. The two teams were all even after two sets with the Tigers winning the opener 25-19 and the Trailblazers evening it up taking the second 25-22. And from there on it was the Tigers coming out on top in the final two sets 25-19 and 25-22 to secure the win.

The spikers are home on Tuesday with a SAC triangular.

The Gilmore Car Museum was the site of today's SAC Cross Country Championship.

Kellen Chalupa led the boys team to a 10th place finish crossing the finish line 6th out of the 106 runners. Loghan Murphy was next for the Tigers at 53rd, followed by Cooper Prentice 62nd, Asher Smith 64th and Broddy Hunt 65h.

Three girls were entered by the Tigers and as a result had no team score. Anna Billman was 1st for the team again today with a 48th place finish, followed by Gracelyn Ketelaar (63rd) and Maya Witkovsky (81st) in the 97-runner-field.

The teams will be competing a week from Friday in the Allegan County Meet at the US 131 Motorsports Park.

On August 28, the Allegan and Hopkins soccer teams played a match with a one-goal difference in favor of the Vikings. Tonight in the opening round of MHSAA district competition one goal decided the outcome with the Vikings again eking out the win 3-2.

With that the Tigers season comes to an end. Congratulations on an exciting season!

The Allegan swim and dive team finished first in 7 out of the 11 events tonight, but it was the Marshall depth that proved to be the difference in the final score: Redhawks 90, Tigers 66.

The Tigers won two of the relay events and had two swimmers win individual races: Genevieve Cooper (50 and 100 Freestyle) and Emma Kelley (200 Individual Medley and 100 Butterfly).

The team is home next Tuesday for the final SCC conference dual meet of the season hosting Plainwell.

The volleyball team hosted Watervliet tonight in the final SAC Lakeshore Division competition of the season. The Panthers took the match in three sets 25-12, 25-16, 25-19.

Next up for the Tiger spikers is Saugatuck on Thursday here in the Allegan gym.

Because of a scheduling conflict the Allegan Cross Country Invitational was run at Paw Paw High School.

The boys team finished in 5th place with Kellen Chalupa leading the way for the Tigers in the Varsity I race with a 4th place finish. Loghan Murphy was 16th, and Cooper Prentice 19th. In the Varsity II race, Asher Smith crossed the line first for the team at #19. Broddy Hunt was next at 19th.

The three Allegan runners in the Varsity I race finished 15th (Anna Billman), 18th (Gracelyn Ketelaar) and 19th (Maya Witkovsky.

Next up for the harriers is the SAC Championships hosted by Allegan at the Gilmore Car Museum.

The soccer team wrapped up its 2026 regular season tonight with a non-conference win over Buchanan 4-3.

And now it's on to MHSAA post-season competition. The Tigers open district play on Wednesday at Hopkins against the Vikings.

It was about as exciting as it could get in the pool at Hastings last night with the final result hanging in the balance for the final event - the 400 freestyle relay. And the Tiger swimmers (Ella Hilboldt, Emery Bayley, Ella Penrod and Grace Kelley) came through big winning that event and giving the team the meet by an 82-80 score.

The Tigers won 9 out of the 12 events for the night, but the Saxon depth kept the meet close until the final relay. It took a true team effort leading up to the final event to put the Tigers in a position to win it. What a night!

Next up for the team is a trip to Marshall and a league meet with the Redhawks.

The volleyball team traveled to Bridgman last night for a SAC Lakeshore Division match. The Tigers fell to the Bees in three sets 25-11, 25-22, 25-14.

The spikers will host Watervliet next Tuesday for the final division competition of the season.

Oh, my! What a tournament it was on the Allegan tennis courts today. It lived up to the pre-tournament expectations with four schools in the top eleven competing for a berth in the state final tournament. This was arguably the toughest Division IV regional in the state.

In dramatic fashion the Tigers did secure a spot at State with their play in the regional tournament. Sitting with 16 points in the standings and needing 18 to qualify, the team had three flights in the finals. #2 Singles Ezra Smith faced the defending state champion and playing his best tennis of the year came up just short. Noah Kuebler-Ian Gaulke at #1 Doubles and Oliver Burnett-Carson Woodhams at #2 Doubles took three-sets to secure their flight championships and the final two points needed to get to state.

The Tigers finished the day with 18 points, good for 4th place, but was just two behind the champions' 20-point total.

Congratulations to the netters and best of luck at state.
