It was a defensive battle last night with Saugatuck. In the end the Tigers dropped their first match of the season 1-0.
The team continues the non-conference portion of their schedule after spring break with an April 13 home match against Covenant Christian.
Chalk up another 8-0 victory for the Tennis team. The Tigers knocked off Hamilton today with each match in straight sets.
The team continues non-league competition heading into Spring Break hosting Lakeshore on Wednesday.
The Tennis team got off to a good start today picking up two wins. The Tigers started out the day blanking Coopersville 8-0 and closed out the day with a 6-2 win over Division I Grand Haven.
The team hosts Hamilton on Monday in another non-conference match-up.
The Girls Track team opened their season at the GVSU open yesterday getting off to a good start. Maddie Antkoviak and Christa Lambert both had top ten finishes. Antkoviak took 6th place in the high jump and Lambert at 7th in the shot put. Several other competitors recorded PRs
The Tigers travel to Paw Paw on Wednesday to kick off the conference season.
The Boys Track and Field team kicked off its season yesterday at the Laker Challenge at GVSU. Josiah Flora recorded the highest finish for the Tigers placing 17th in the 200m dash. The 4x300m Relay team of Logan Vernia, Titus Smith, Drew Ellis, and Dominick Bury finished 19th.
League competition for the Tigers begins on Wednesday at Paw Paw.
The 2022 Spring season kicked off today with the Soccer team at Hopkins. And the Tigers came the win, a 5-0 shutout in non-conference competition.
The team continues preparation for the start of the conference season with a non-conference match at St. Joe on Monday.
Congratulations to Carter Wagner for earning academic all-state honors from the Michigan High School Interscholastic Bowling Coaches Association. Well done both in the classroom and on the lanes!
Didn't winter sports just end?!? Weather permitting competition begins in just two days for the opening of spring sports. Hang on to your hat, it's a go-go-go two and a half months. Take in a contest or two in a sport you don't usually attend and watch our athletes in action.

The Psych Sheets are up on the MHSAA website and it looks like there should be a lot of excitement at the Venema Aquatic Center on the campus of Calvin University on Friday and Saturday for our swimmers. Some high seeds and some great opportunities ahead. Prelims on Friday and the Finals on Saturday.
The Boys Basketball season came to an end tonight at Wayland as the Tigers lost to Hastings 67-50 in the district tournament.
Congratulations to Leah Snyder for her run at today's MHSAA Girls Bowling Singles tournament. Leah advanced out of the qualifying round as the 8th seed. In the first round of match play she defeated the #9 seed 385-305. In the state quarterfinals she faced the #1 seed from Tecumseh. She lost that contest 406-320.

It's on to bracket competition for Leah Snyder in the MHSAA Girls Bowling Singles tournament. Leah finished in 8th place in the qualifying round to advance to the championship round. She rolled games of 204, 206, 210, 202, 176 and 189 for a total of 1187. Leah will face the #9 seed from Tecumseh (1184) in the opening round.

The MHSAA State Team Tournament qualifying round was the end of an outstanding season for the boys and girls bowling teams. The girls just missed advancing to the championship tournament with a 9th place finish with a 2899 pin total, just 54 pins out of the final spot. The girls had a high Baker game of 188 and team game of 853.
The boys finished in 11th place with a team total of 3241 pins. The 8th place total was 3388. The boys had a 226 for their best Baker and 927 in their high team game.
Good luck to Shave Wesche, Trenton Nagelkirk, Leah Snyder and Savannah Beilfuss as they compete in the singles tournament tomorrow.
The Girls Basketball season came to an end tonight at Hamilton as the Hawkeyes defeated the Tigers 45-30 in the opening round of district play.
The Swim & Dive team competed in the SCC championships over the past two days. Tiger swimmers won four events en route to their 4th place finish in the league meet. Strong finishes by all swimmers led to the team finishing ahead of several teams that they lost to earlier in the season.
The 400 freestyle relay team of Gabe Harlan, Ian Hammer, Conrad Eichbauer and Titus Smith won the event with a school record time of 3:19.01. This same foursome also won the 200 freestyle relay with a MHSAA State Meet qualifying performance. Titus Smith also captured first place in the 50 and 100 freestyle events.
The team will wrap up the season March 11-12 with the D3 MHSAA State Final meet at Calvin College.
It's on to the state final tournament for four of our bowlers after an outstanding day today in the MHSAA Division 2 regional Singles tournament.
Leah Snyder led the way for the girls with a 1110 pin total good for a 2nd place finish. Savannah Beilfuss also earned a berth at the state meet with her 9th place finish and 936 total.
Shane Wesche finished in 3rd place in the boys tournament with his 1131 total. Trenton Nagelkirk will join Shane at state with his 8th place finish (1097).

So very close! The Competitive Cheer team finished in 5th place today at the MHSAA Division 3 Regionals, just one place from a berth at the state finals. The team had scores of 210.3, 211.60 and 294.00 for a 715.90 total.

There was a lot of excitement in the aquatic center today as the Swim & Dive team participated in the SCC league preliminaries, the qualifying event for tomorrow's finals. Even more excitement is ahead.

A REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP and two teams qualifying for state. It was a great day for the Allegan Bowling teams.
The Boys won the first regional title in program history by winning it all at the Wayland regional. But it wasn't all strikes and spares for the team as they were in 8th place out of 15 teams after the second round of Baker games. And then it was a steady upward trend through the rest of the day racking up 3663 pins to finish 106 ahead of runner-up Grand Rapids Christian.
And for the Girls, it's also a trip to next weekend's state team finals. The Tigers finished in 3rd place with a 3190 total just 3 pins out of the runner-up spot. The team finished 336 ahead of the 4th place finisher.
Congratulations to both teams and best of luck in tomorrow's Singles tournament.
The Girls Basketball regular season came to an end tonight at Dowagiac. The team came up short against the Chieftains.
It's now on to the MHSAA tournament and the "second season" with the Tigers opening district play on Monday at Hamilton against the host Hawkeyes.
History was made today and Dawn Everetts was part of it. For the first time ever, the MHSAA hosted post-season competition for Girls Wrestling. Dawn competed in the regional at Howell High School. Dawn lost both of her matches but was part of something exciting and new in high school athletics.
Congratulations to the Competitive Cheer for taking a 2nd place finish in today's MHSAA Division III District finals hosted in Allegan. The team had round scores of 217.5, 208.24 and 300.5 for a final total of 726.24.
They will be moving on to regionals next Saturday in Rockford and we wish them well!! Amazing day you had ladies!! 🧡🖤🎀

Two Wednesdays and Two Championships! Congratulations to the Competitive Cheer team for capturing today's Vicksburg Invitational to add to last week's Parchment Invitational title. The team finished with a 3-round total of 725.8 to outdistance the runner-up by 25 points.
MHSAA post-season competition is next on the Tigers' schedule as they host the district meet on Saturday.
The Girls Basketball team traveled to South Haven to take on the Rams in a non-conference contest and came away with a close one winning 35-32.
The Boys dropped their game 73-57.
The teams are scheduled to be at home on Friday against Vicksburg in a North Division matchup.

The Boys Bowling team traveled to Niles today to compete in the Wolverine Conference Championships. The Tigers knocked off Vicksburg 3-1 in their opening match before falling to Sturgis 3-1 in the semifinals. In the play-off for 3rd place, the Tigers downed Plainwell by a 3-1 score.
The team's 3rd place tournament finished combined with their tie for first in the regular season puts the Tigers with a runner-up finish for the season.
Three Allegan bowlers earned all-conference honors, led by Trenton Nagelkirk, who was tops in the league with a 199.38 average for the regular season. Andrew Snyder was just behind Trenton in the 2nd spot with Shane Wesche at 7th. Ryan Brink earned honorable mention recognition. Coach Lamb was named the Wolverine Conference Coach of the Year.
The team competes in MHSAA regional competition at Wyoming with the team event on the 25th and singles on the 26th.
CHAMPIONS! Make it three in a row for the Girls Bowling team as they captured their 3rd consecutive Wolverine Conference title. The team went into the conference championships today as the #2 seed. They won their first two matches 3-0 downing Paw Paw and Otsego. Then they faced Sturgis in the championship match. The two teams split games one and two, then Sturgis eked out a 2 point win in the third to go up 2-1, just one game from eliminating the Tigers. Game 4 also went to the 10th frame before being decided. This time a 2 point Allegan win to force a deciding 5th game. The team came out strong and put away the championship 181-145.
Five Allegan bowlers also earned 1st team all-conference honors based on their regular season results. Topping all league bowlers was Leah Snyder with a 183.36 average. Savannah Beilfuss was 5th, Harleigh Wesche 6th and Audrey Brink and Rainah Spohn tied for the 8th.
The team heads to MHSAA post-season competition next with the team regionals set for Feb. 25 and the singles on the 26th at Wyoming.
