This past weekend, CBI hosted Dr. Jeremy Kimble of Cedarville University for Revival Through the Ages, our summer Weekend Intensive.

Dr. Kimble led students through the biblical and theological foundations of spiritual awakening: humility, prayer, repentance, and the Word of God at the center. Then, he examined a history of revivals. We are grateful for his teaching, his heart for the local church, and his friendship with CBI.

Congratulations to Dr. John Goodrich on his appointment as Professor of New Testament and Associate Dean of the Undergraduate Division of Talbot School of Theology, Biola University. While we will miss his leadership at CBI, we are grateful for his years of faithful service and look forward to seeing how the Lord will use him in this important role.

Dr. Jeremy Kimble is back at CBI—our first intensive speaker to return for a second course. And there is still time to register!

This weekend, Dr. Kimble will teach Revival through the Ages: A History of Spiritual Awakenings, exploring the biblical theology of revival, the First and Second Great Awakening, and how those movements shaped Christianity into the modern era.

Congratulations to the CBI Class of 2026!

18 graduates. One amazing commencement. We could not be more proud of every single one of you.

Fourteen completed the One-Year Bible Program. Two earned their Bachelor of Biblical Studies. Two received their Biblical Counseling Certificate. Each one committed to serious biblical training and finished strong.

To the Class of 2026: the church is better equipped because of your faithfulness. We can’t wait to see where God takes you.

For two weeks, our One-Year Bible Program students walked where Paul walked. From the prison at Philippi to Mars Hill in Athens to the streets of Rome where Paul and Peter gave their lives, the book of Acts became more than just words on a page.

This is the Footsteps of Paul trip, the capstone of our spring course on Paul's missionary journeys and one of two study trips included in the program. Scripture was written in real places, to real people. Standing in them changes how you read it forever.

Our One-Year Bible Program students have had a great first half of their Spring 2026 study abroad trip to Greece and Italy. So far they have been to the biblical sites of Thessaloniki, Philippi, and Berea, as well as important historical sites such as the tomb of Phillip II and the beautiful monasteries of Meteora.

It has been a transformational time where out students have seen the Bible come to life. Follow along on our story for more consistent updates!

Congratulations to our four Compass Bible Institute students who just graduated from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with their Master of Divinity degrees. We are thankful for our partnership with Southern Seminary and for the opportunity CBI students have to continue their theological education at one of the leading seminaries in the world. CBI credits also transfer to Boyce College, the undergraduate school of Southern Seminary.
