Our graduate students recently had the opportunity to share a meal with Dr. Carlos Alberto Torres, Distinguished Professor at UCLA and Founding Director of the Paulo Freire Institute. He was joined by his wife, Dr. Ana Elvira Torres, also a leading scholar in comparative education. Together, they shared career reflections, life experiences, and perspectives on what it means to be a global citizen in an increasingly interconnected, and increasingly AI driven, world.
