FAHS definitely has incredibly caring teachers with the biggest hearts and currently 2 of them are evidence of that statement. Math Teacher, Ms. Miranda Lasher, and History Teacher, Mr. Cole Eged, are raising money for the Bulldog Boutique. Check out their story that was featured on KDKD this evening. Thank you!

Two teachers from Freedom Area High School are getting ready to run the Pittsburgh half marathon with the goal of helping deserving kids in the district.

On Friday, March 31st, approximately 28 FAHS students had a chance to visit CCBC's 6 High School Academies. Juniors and seniors can enroll in one of the academies to get a jump start on their college education! The 6 Academies include Aviation, Criminal Justice, Education (K-12), Health, Mascaro Construction and STEM. Senior Katrina Adams was recognized as the FAHS Good Citizen Award on April 11th at a luncheon sponsored by the Fort McIntosh Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The luncheon was at the Shadow Lakes Country Club. Congratulations to Katrina!

Best wishes to Luke!

It’s time to meet our first Mr. Beaver County 2023 contestant! Please show your support for Luke Snavely, a super-involved Senior at Freedom Area High School (Freedom Area School District). Luke is a four-time class President, Co-Editor in Chief of the Shawnee Yearbook, and the Managing Editor of the FHS-Press.com. He also serves as DECA President, Math Club President and Math League President - and he is a member of the Physics Club. Luke is a member of National Honor Society (NHS) and Quill and Scroll, and he is an 8-time national qualifier in Academic Games!

Luke is just as active in Bulldogs sports! He is a four-year letter winner and a two-time Captain in Soccer. This Spring, he is the Captain of the Baseball team, and he will be a four-year letter winner as well.

Outside of school, Luke can be found helping others, such as with the successful Alzheimer’s T-shirt fundraiser sale he and his girlfriend Katrina created. He enjoys playing Disk Golf, running, and hanging out with his family and friends.

After graduation, Luke plans to attend Robert Morris University, where he will major in Data Science and Statistics. All of us at The Prevention Network & CLASS Academy, Beaver County Behavioral Health, Clearview Federal Credit Union, and The Ninth Reward Recovery House wish Luke the best of luck in the Mr. Beaver County 2023 scholarship competition!
