Students in Mrs. Trigo's class conducted a hands-on science experiment exploring the difference between compounds and mixtures. They combined different materials, made observations, and discussed how the substances changed when mixed together.

We have been informed that the price of ice cream treats has increased to $2.00 each, effective tomorrow Friday, August 28.

🍦 STUDENTS MUST BRING THEIR ICE CREAM MONEY WITH THEM IN THE MORNING.

Please note that Noonan Elementary does not profit from this price increase. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

🍎 TODAY’S THANK A TEACHER SPOTLIGHT! 🍎
Today we’re shining the spotlight on Mrs. Vallejo at Ben Bolt–Palito Blanco Elementary School! Mrs. Vallejo teaches at a small Title I school, where many of her students receive special education services and are on the autism spectrum. She describes them as resilient, creative and eager to learn.

She hopes to create a calming classroom space with sensory and emotional-regulation materials that can help students manage big emotions, reduce anxiety, build independence and return to learning ready to succeed. Thank you, Mrs. Vallejo, for creating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for your students—and for all you do for our kids! 💛

Go Alice ISD!

2026 district grades for Region 2. Agua Dulce ISD most improved, Riviera ISD close behind. Alice ISD was much improved AND earned a TEA distinction. Bishop also earned a distinction to double the number of distinctions earned in this Region compared to 2025. Freer and Sinton ISDs also improved considerably.
