Our Sáenz Elementary family joins Alice ISD in mourning the loss of a valued member of our Board of Trustees. 💚🧡
Mr. Zamora truly loved Alice ISD and was always very supportive of our students and staff.
We are grateful for the time, service, and commitment given to the students, staff, and families of our district. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and entire Alice ISD community during this difficult time. 🙏
On behalf of Board of Trustees and Superintendent Dr. Anysia Trevino,
Good evening, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of one of our Board Members, Mr. Cirilo “Ciro” Zamora.
He served our district for many years with a passion to do what is right.
He reviewed expenditures and revenues through the eyes of an accountant and the heart of a community member.
He questioned when needed and applauded our successes.
He recently shared how very proud he was of our district and campus ratings and was looking forward to our first football game at our new Alice Memorial Stadium.
He wished all of us an amazing 2026-2027 school year as displayed in our back to school video!
He will continue to live in our hearts and in the district.
Our condolences to his wife Sylvia, and children, Marc Joseph, Matthew and Syrena.
