Good evening, AHS Band!

We hope everyone had a great day! We wanted to share some information with you that was received today and this evening.

The Alice HS Band will be departing at 4:30 p.m. on Friday for Valley View HS. The back doors will open close to 3:15 p.m. so that our students can begin loading their instruments. As a reminder, the football game starting time has been changed to 7:30 p.m.

We just received ticket information for the Calallen Bay Area Pre-UIL Marching Contest this coming Saturday. Here is the flyer that was sent to us. It will be attached to this message.

As of this evening, we have not received information for the Robstown Pre-UIL Contest. As soon as we do, we will share with everyone!

Lastly, tomorrow our students will have rehearsal from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. We are asking parents to please drop off a can of Off Spray for your child for the mosquitoes; they are very bad, especially when the sun goes down.

Have a great evening, everyone!

Good morning AHS Band & Family!

As we begin a new day, we want to say Thank You to our parents that helped with painting our props last night, we appreciate your time and efforts with this. We need to build two more wingtips and put together (1) single panel with a new banner and we need to cut out a piece of plywood to create a radar screen and attach it to a uniform rack. Things are coming together and any help is greatly appreciated!

Lastly, we will be having a quick meeting this evening in the auditorium for any parents interested in helping us with the upcoming UIL 3A Area E Marching Contest on Saturday, October 24, 2026. This is a very big event for our school, district and community and we want to make sure we have all the help that is needed to run a contest of this magnitude.

On a side note, today our percussion students will be performing at the National Lights Out events occurring at the Jim Wells County Courthouse beginning at 5:00 p.m. The HS band will be providing transportation to and from the event. It should last about 30 minutes or so. Thank you very much for your support of our all our students!

Have a great day everyone!
