Our goal is to continue moving WAMS forward—and attendance is a big part of student success.

Attendance: 93.9%
🐾 WAMS Today: 92.6%
🎯 WAMS Goal: 94.5%+

Today, we fell below both the Texas average and our WAMS goal. While a few percentage points may not seem like much, they represent students missing valuable classroom instruction.

If we want A-level results, we need A-level attendance.

Building Skills & Exploring Careers at WAMS!

Our 6th grade Investigating Careers students in Ms. Nancy Perez’s class are getting a hands-on look at careers in architecture and construction! Students explored different career opportunities and then put their learning into action by designing and building bridges while testing their strength and durability.

We love seeing our students create, problem-solve, and make connections between what they learn in the classroom and real-world careers! 🧠🔨🏗️

Congratulations to our WAMS Boys and Girls Cross Country teams for competing in their first meet of the season! We are proud of our Coyotes for getting out there, competing hard, and representing WAMS with pride.

We are so proud of our 6th grade student, Abigail De la Garza, who performed beautifully at the grand reopening of our local H-E-B! 🎶

We also had the opportunity to see one of our former WAMS students, Joaquin Gonzales, perform with the AHS El Coyote Mariachi. Joaquin is now a freshman, and it makes our hearts so happy to see him continuing to grow, shine, and succeed beyond WAMS. 🧡

So proud of both of these talented students! Once a Coyote, always a Coyote! 🐾

Thank you, WAMS parents, for helping us make Friday attendance count! 🧡🤍

We ended the week at 94.3% attendance, just shy of our 94.5% goal. But the great news—we maintained above 94% attendance on Friday! 🙌

We’re looking forward to another great week ahead as we’re already approaching Week 3 of the first six weeks!
