"They don't follow everyone—they follow experience. 🦌"

The famous deer of Nara Park are wild Sika Deer that have learned to associate people with shika senbei, special crackers made specifically for them. Many also perform a bowing behavior because it has often been rewarded by visitors over time.

While they're accustomed to people, they're still wild animals. Visitors should feed only approved deer crackers and respect the animals' space.

"This tiny mountain mammal spends summer preparing for winter. 🐹🏔️"
The American Pika never hibernates.

Instead, it spends the warm months collecting and drying hundreds of plants into carefully stored haypiles hidden among mountain rocks. These natural food caches provide enough nutrition to survive months of snow and freezing temperatures.

High in the Rockies, this tiny survivor proves that preparation can be the greatest superpower of all. 🌎🐹🏔️

The world's largest chameleon moves slowly—but it never stops watching. 🦎🌿

The Parson's Chameleon is the largest chameleon species on Earth, living in the lush rainforests of Madagascar.

Its independently moving eyes allow it to scan nearly every direction without turning its head, while its powerful gripping feet and prehensile tail help it move safely through the trees.

Slow, patient, and perfectly adapted to its environment, this remarkable reptile proves that survival isn't always about speed.
