+Monitoring and supervising children
+Assisting with activities

Job Requirements of an Teachers Assistant:
+High school diploma or GED
+Pass DCFS background check
+Present an updated physical (within 6 months)
+Passion for working with children of all ages
+Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
+Strong written and communication skills
+1 year early childhood experience preferred

Do you like to cook, have a Food Safety Management Certificate, and enjoy working with children?!

Little Sprouts Childcare in Alhambra, an early childhood education center, is currently seeking a Cook. As a cook, you will prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children in our center. The ideal candidate would also enjoy working with children and would spend time as a teachers assistant!

Location – Alhambra, IL
Hours – Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm
Responsibilities of a Cook:
+Prepare weekly menus
+Prepare breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack for all classrooms
+Serve meals to each classroom on time, at the appropriate temperature
+Serve appropriate and required amounts that follow DCFS guidelines
+Make bi-weekly food orders
+Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and food area
+Ensure all thermometers are working properly
+Wash and sanitize all dishes
+Remove trash daily
+Daily cleaning of kitchen and appliances
+Assist classrooms with providing breaks to teachers during nap time
+Additional daily duties as needed

Qualifications of a Cook:
+Food Safety Management Certificate
+1-year experience in food planning and preparation
+High School Diploma or GED
+Pass DCFS background check.
+Present an updated physical (within 6 months)

CLOSING EARLY! 💨❄️ As the negative temperatures continue to drop, wind picks up, and snow moves in, we are asking all parents to begin pick up between 12pm-2pm so we can get all staff and families home safely!

Santa & Mrs. Claus, with Snowy Sweets Ice Cream Truck, will be visiting the kids and bringing ice cream on Thursday, December 22nd. We will also be teaming up with them to collect donations for Cambridge Nursing Home! Donation ideas are listed and items can be placed in the boxes of the lobby. 🎄
