The Master of Physician Assistant Practice (MPAP), offered by the USC Primary Care Physician Assistant Program, trains students in a range of social and behavioral sciences required for competent clinical practice. Physician assistants are educated in basic medical sciences and clinical disciplines, including human anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and clinical laboratory medicine. Further, PA stu

dents are taught to hone the cognitive skills required for medical decision-making. The 33-month graduate curriculum includes integrated course work in the basic sciences, medicine, clinical skills, public health and epidemiology, health care administration, and psychosocial and behavioral sciences. Students enter the Program having completed a Bachelor’s degree as well as a set of Program prerequisites. Our unique location within the Keck School of Medicine of USC provides students with a vast array of educational and clinical resources that contribute to the excellence in training. The physician assistant (PA) is a health care professional qualified by academic and clinical education and by formal certification to practice medicine with the supervision of a doctor of medicine or osteopathy. Physician assistants perform diagnostic, therapeutic, preventive and health maintenance services in any setting in which physicians provide care. Physician assistants are accountable for their own actions as well as being accountable to their supervising physician. A day of service with the Class of 2029! ❤️

Today we traded the classroom for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, working together to support our community and learn a little more about what it means to serve as healthcare professionals.

Proud of this group and excited for all the ways they’ll show up for their patients and communities throughout their PA journey. 🥫🩺✨

Celebrating the incredible USC PA Class of 2026 at our Graduate Awards Brunch ❤️💛

We honored the students who have helped shape our program through leadership, service, advocacy, scholarship, and collaboration — from PASS leadership roles and Pathways mentors to scholarship recipients, advocacy trip participants, Pi Alpha inductees, and our Interprofessional Education & Collaboration in Geriatrics participants.

We also celebrated our Preceptor of the Year, Dr. Shafai, for the mentorship and dedication that help make our students’ clinical education so impactful.

So much talent, heart, and dedication in one cohort. And of course, we had to capture one final graduation photo together before everyone goes on to pass the PANCE and become the amazing PAs we know them all to be! ✨

We are so proud of the Class of 2026. Fight On forever ✌️

What an incredible day at St. Agnes! In collaboration with USC PA students and USC Viterbi Biomedical Engineering students—alongside dedicated faculty preceptors Mitzi D’Aquila and Sarah Elizabeth Thebarge—we came together to serve our community in a meaningful way.

In just 4 hours, we connected with and provided care to over 80 community members. This is what interprofessional collaboration and community impact look like in action.

Proud of the students, grateful for our partners, and inspired by the community we serve. 💛
