Hi my name is Brittani and I’m looking for information on my maternal grandmother . I was wondering if you would be willing to make a post in this group . A little background information : My grandmother Shirley Sias would have been part of this graduating class , but she dropped out around 1960. I found a yearbook photo from 1960 and she was a Sophmore. She passed at age 23 in 1967 when my mother was about 5 years old. My grandfather never spoke about Shirley. Once she was gone he kind of closed that chapter of his life and moved on . Unfortunately that meant my mother literally knew something about her mother aside from the few memories she had . Any information would mean the world to my mom . If someone maybe remembers Shirley from a class or anything . I’m also sending the yearbook photo from 1960 . Thank you in advance if you’re able to help .
Again her name was Shirley A. Sias in 1960.

Al Ferguson, a former Emery Park and AHS Moor passed. (June 22, 1943 - August 7, 2025) Al had a great career playing guitar with the Hondells, and was inducted into the California Music Hall of Fame. He was extremely civic minded. A super family man, and will be missed. RIP Al.

We have some very sad news to share. Kathy Dagestino passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, after a 2-year courageous battle against cancer.

Barry is planning a religious service in the near future to be held at Blessed Sacrament Episcopal Church in Placentia, California. The date will be announced when it is confirmed.

In the fall, he also plans a larger Celebration of Life for her to which her friends and family will be invited. We will share the details as soon as we have them.

Kathy long--and patiently--supported the activities of the AHS '62 committee. Everyone who grew to know and love her will surely miss her warm presence. Barry would appreciate cards, and I've asked him to let us know if there is anything we can do to help. Meanwhile, please keep him and Nick and the family in your thoughts and prayers.
