About Fried Music
Fried Music is a classical music school that was founded with a dream to create a welcoming, inspiring, and educational space for aspiring and professional musicians alike. Our founders, Ben Fried and Connie Kim-Sheng Fried, have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of art and high-level music making, not just for self-fulfillment, but also for developing ambition and nurturing
a passion for making beautiful music. At Fried Music, we believe in instilling these values in younger generations, and it has been a privilege to watch our students grow and excel in their musicianship. Today, we are excited to present a concert that showcases the incredible talent and hard work of our students. We are grateful for the unwavering support of our Fried Music families, friends, and colleagues, who have helped us build a community that is as warm and welcoming as it is dedicated to excellence. Faculty
Every member of our faculty has received music performance degrees from prestigious institutions around the country, including Colburn, Curtis Institute of Music, USC Thornton School of Music, Eastman School of Music, Manhattan School of Music, Mannes College of Music, New England Conservatory, the Juilliard School, UT Austin Butler School of Music, Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, among others. They have performed internationally as soloists and chamber musicians, and are active pedagogues and performers in the greater Los Angeles area. Facilities
Located in downtown Alhambra on 2nd Street, our school features several practice rooms with upright pianos, teaching studios, and a brand new Shigeru Kawai grand piano. Fried Music II, a larger space a few doors down from our current location, will house a venue and music store to serve our community and students.
