While visiting this monument in the rain, I found myself thinking about the moments that bring us together, the history we carry, and the people who make those moments meaningful. 🤍

This statue captures a famous moment from 1945, celebrating the end of World War II. Standing here, I was reminded that behind every historical moment are real people, families, and stories.

Working in funeral services has taught us how important it is to show up for one another, especially during life’s most difficult moments.

Sometimes, there are no right words.

When someone we love is grieving, we may want so badly to say something that will ease their pain, but grief doesn’t always need an explanation, an answer, or the perfect words.

Sometimes, it simply needs someone who is willing to stay.

To sit beside them.
To listen when they want to talk.
To be quiet when they don’t.
To remind them, “You don’t have to go through this alone. I’m here with you.”

Your presence can communicate what words sometimes cannot:
I see you. I care about you. Your pain matters to me. And I’m not going anywhere.

You don’t have to know exactly what to say to show someone you care.

Sometimes, being there is the most meaningful thing you can say. 🤍🦋✨
