Huntley 158’s Multilingual Parent Advisory Committee's (MPAC) first meeting of the year will be on Monday, September 14! MPAC brings together multilingual families, schools, and staff to share ideas, build partnerships, and support the success of our multilingual students. ❤️

MPAC's Multicultural Night on 12/11 was a wonderful event! Thank you to the Huntley 158 families, staff, students, board and community members who attended and participated making this a night to remember!

MPAC's Multicultural Night is open to ALL Huntley 158 families and will take place on Thursday, December 11 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heineman Middle School. 🌍✈️ Celebrate the diversity within our community and learn about cultures around the world through delicious food, live performances, and lots of fun!

🌽Our 5th grade Dual Language students just wrapped up their very first unit of study, Cultivating Resources! A major focus of the unit was corn, exploring its history, cultural significance, and role as a vital resource.

To bring learning to life and in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, students enjoyed a special culminating experience: tasting elote together! 🎉🌽❤️

What a meaningful way to connect classroom learning with culture, community, and celebration!

🌽 ¡Nuestros estudiantes de Doble Inmersión en 5.º grado acaban de finalizar su primera unidad de estudio, Cultivando Recursos! Un enfoque principal de la unidad fue el maíz, explorando su historia, su importancia cultural y su papel como recurso vital.

Para dar vida al aprendizaje y en celebración del Mes de la Herencia Hispana, los estudiantes disfrutaron de una experiencia especial: ¡probar elote juntos! 🎉🌽❤️
